Use the stem: turn your pumpkin on its side and use the stem as an ugly nose. This trick will help you make a truly scary masterpiece.

  Use vaseline: one simple way to get your pumpkin to last longer is my covering all the cut edges with vaseline. Unfortunately, this tips won't make a huge difference, but it can add a few extra days to the pumpkins shelf life.
 

No Carve: if you are not a fan of carving, skip it altogether and do something else. You can paint, glitter, or simply glue props to your pumpkin.
