Looking to beat the heat this summer, but don't want to deal with large crowds or big surf?  We have put together a list of some of the LA area's best family-friendly beaches.

​Paradise Cove

Paradise Cove is a lovely beach that is perfect for families with kid safe beaches. Located in Malibu it is only an hour from your Valley Village apartment.  This beach is geared toward families who enjoy the white sand, relatively uncrowded beach area, protection from high surf and cabana and umbrella rentals.  

Santa Monica Pier

Santa Monica Pier is famous for people watching, the landmark Ferris wheel, a kid-friendly carousel, architectural play structures in the sand, a giant outdoor chess set, balance beams, gymnastic rings, bike, and skate rentals, this is a must visit beach this summer.

Mother's Beach

Mother’s Beach is a favorite with parents of small children.  The beach is a protected area with low surf and clean beaches.  Kids love to climb on the Pirate ship and eat lunch on the picnic tables.

Venice Beach

Venice Beach is colorful to say the least and is located only an hour from your apartment in Valley Village.  It is a great way to spend the day.  You and you family can eat at the dozens of great restaurants, rent bikes and roller blades, or learn how to SUP.
