• This is Super Bowl 50 and while other Super Bowls used Roman Numerals to represent which game it is, but the NFL felt that the Roman Numeral L would be confusing and chose to use “50”.
• The Denver Broncos are playing the Carolina Panthers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
• You will see a lot of gold on the field this year, because this is the 50^th or Golden Super Bowl.
• The game kicks off at 3:30 P.M. PT. and 6:30 p.m. ET.
• The Super Bowl will be televised on CBS with Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, and Tracy Wolfson calling the game. ESPN Deports will provide a Spanish-language telecast of the game.
• If you are going to be home watching the game and you do not have television, it will be streamed live on CBSSports.com
• Cold Play, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars will be performing during halftime.
• It costs as much as $5 million for a 30-second Super Bowl commercial.
