A cluttered bathroom can look small and unorganized; here are some affordable and creative tips for decluttering your bathroom.

 • Use the door for storage. The back of your bathroom door can be used for storage. Apply a removable hook and attach a shower caddy or shoe holder to store bathroom supplies and morning essentials.

 • Maximize your Vanity. There are a lot of ways to maximize storage and functionality, here are just a few. Purchase drawer organizers that fit your drawer space to maximize drawers. They come in a wide assortment of colors, styles and materials; some even allow you to stack items to double the size of your drawers. Use tension rods to hang cleaning supplies and baskets or storage boxes to organize other supplies. Another great way to maximize space under a vanity is to use affordable bathroom caddies; many can stand on their own or use a removable hook to fasten to the inside of your cabinet.

 • Hide Hair Tools on the back of your vanity door with PVC pipe. If you hate the messy look of curling irons and hair dryers on your vanity top then this is a great tip for hiding and organizing your hair care tools. First measure your curling irons and hair dryer holsters to determine the correct width of the pipes. Purchase PVC pipe at your local hardware or home improvement store. You can usually purchase them in small pieces or even ask them to cut them for you. Next use hook-and-loop tape to attach the pipes to the back of your vanity door. Hook and loop tape is available at most home improvement stores and there are a number of videos on YouTube that demonstrate how to use it.

 • Turn a basket on its side. Baskets are both decorative and functional, but most people only think to use them in drawers or shelves. Turned on their side and hung on the wall, they make great storage units for towels and other light items.

 • Store Shower Supplies. Your home goods or home improvement store has some great options for storing shower supplies. A tension rod shower caddy is a perfect way to store shampoo, soap, sponges and more. An over the shower faucet shower caddy is a great solution as well.
