\nValley Village is a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles. It is bound by Burbank Blvd to the North, The Ventura Freeway to the south, The Hollywood freeway to the east and The Tujunga Wash to the west. Previously known as part of North Hollywood it was first formed in 1939 and many of the streets are lined with mature magnolia, pine, oak and elm trees.<\/p>\n

Many of its residents, who are mostly renters find it to be a safe and bike friendly community with a vibrant culture and strong neighborhood ties. It is a fairly well-to-do community with an easy commute into LA, good schools and lower crime rates than downtown LA.<\/p>\n

Valley Village Park and North Hollywood Recreation Center serve Valley Village residents. The recreation center has an auditorium, lighted indoor and outdoor baseball diamonds, baseball diamond courts, lighted outdoor baseball diamonds, a kid’s play area, lighted handball courts, picnic tables, an outdoor unheated seasonal pool, and lighted tennis courts.<\/p>\n
