Are you looking for easy and affordable DIY ideas for Thanksgiving decorations for your Valley Village apartment?

Here are some great ideas using a glass trifle bowl or cake stand.  Both are inexpensive and can be purchased at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Kohl’s, Target, Sur La Table and other kitchen or home stores.

1) Dried beans and peas make a great foundation for a Thanksgiving arrangement.  Top them with gourds, small pumpkins, pine cones and cinnamon sticks for a Holiday centerpiece.

2) Arrange apples in a trifle bowl and then fill with water (3/4 fill), take some inexpensive mums, daisies or asters and make a colorful arrangement for the center of your table.

3) Purchase several trifle or cake stands of differing sizes, fill them with things like nuts, apples, cranberries, and wheat.  Wrap them in ribbon or burlap for a decorative table display.

4) Cranberries, kumquats (or tangerines) and nuts make a great base for a Thanksgiving centerpiece.  Simply purchase a glass vase or use a trifle bowl and arrange them in rows, add a glass candle holder and a candle for a festive statement piece.
