Dress in your red, white and blue and head out to Long Beach to visit the Queen Mary. Only a little over an hour from your Valley Village apartment, this is a unique way to spend the 4th of July.
Stroll along the deck and experience Americana from decade to decade. Listen to live music, learn to dance and more. This family friendly event is a great way to spend the 4th of July. It also includes a bird’s eye view of the giant fireworks extravaganza. Hours are from 12pm – 11pm, but parking can be limited (and difficult). Check out queenmary.com for more details.
Another great way to spend the 4th is at Redondo Beach. There are events all day long including swimming, arts & crafts, inflatable slides and a live DJ from 2pm. Fireworks begin at 9pm. Pack a picnic lunch or check out Ruby’s special menu. Alcohol is not permitted.
